IAC is excited to announce that the 2021 National Championships for the National Science Bee will be held over Labor Day weekend on September 3-4, 2021! The Elementary, Middle School, and Junior Varsity division events will be held exclusively in person in Arlington, Virginia, while the Varsity division events will be held exclusively online.
All information for Nationals (including registration forms, hotel reservation information and links, finalized fee structure) will be available over the course of the next several days at iacnationals.com. A schedule of events is now available here.
Vaccination, Mask Requirements, and Social Distancing
We expect all participants who are 12 and older to be vaccinated in accordance with CDC recommendations and guidance. All IAC staff on-site will be required to provide proof of vaccination in advance of the event.
While we cannot enforce any additional mask requirements in the public areas of the hotel, we will be enforcing mask requirements in all competition spaces. Matches will be held in larger spaces (eg, not in junior suites) to accommodate social distancing wherever possible.
